How to Apply Mirizobant? – Step-by-Step Guide for Professional Waterproofing

Recommended Procedure and Tools for Proper Application of Butyl-Based Insulation Tape on Roof Surfaces
To ensure proper and long-lasting application of butyl-based adhesive insulation tape, we recommend following the procedure below and using the appropriate auxiliary tools and materials.
Required Materials and Auxiliary Tools
Insulation Tape: Depending on the application, choose a butyl-based adhesive tape with or without a protective top layer.
Cleaning Agent: Alcohol-based cleaner or a special surface preparation solution for removing oil, dirt, and rust.
Soft Cloth or Sponge: For cleaning and drying the surface.
Cutting Tool: Utility knife or scissors for trimming the tape to the required size.
Pressing Tool: A hard roller or pressing device to remove air bubbles after application and ensure full adhesion.
Heat Source (Optional): A heat gun can be used to enhance adhesion in cold weather conditions.
Safety Gloves and Goggles: To ensure safety during the application process.
Application Instructions
1. Surface Preparation
Cleaning The surface to be glued must be: dry, free of dust, grease and dirt. If there is rust, it must be removed.
Recommendation: Wipe the element with an alcohol-based cleaner and dry with a soft cloth.
Surface Temperature: The tape is best glued at a temperature between +10°C and +45°C. It is possible to glue the material with a heat gun -5°C to +10°C (in cold environments).
2. Fasting Preparation
Measurement and Cutting: Determine the size of the tape according to the dimensions of the area to be glued. Cut the tape to the required size with a cutting tool.
Removing the Protective Film: Before the tape is glued, the PE film underneath must be cleaned.
3. Tape Gluing
Application Procedure: After the tape protective film is removed, damage is controlled. The tape is slowly and problems with electrical power application, wrinkles and air bubbles in the solutions are on the way. Tape overlap section (approximately 3-5 cm) with a hard roller.
Pressing: After gluing the tape, all products are processed under production with a hard roller or a special press. This will ensure full adhesion and sealing of the tape.
4. Inspection after application
Sealing Test: After gluing, check the tightness and adhesion strength of the tape. If there are weak adhesion areas, apply additional loading or heat.
Additional Recommendations
The tape should be regularly inspected to check the adhesion strength if it is applied to extreme temperature changes and constant humidity.
Use protective gloves and goggles when applying the tape.
Following these rules can ensure a long service life with the correct application of the decontamination tape to the roof.
